Known to students as “Dr. George,” the Rev. Dr. George LaMaster serves as the Director of the Notre Dame Scholars Program. He previously served as an Associate Professor of Communication at Marian University.  A former speech team coach and department chair, he teaches courses on topics such as “The Art of Dialogue” and “Conflict Transformation.” Also an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), he and his wife, Jennifer LaMaster, live in South Bend, IN.
